Student Financial Support

Financial support will be available to a selected number of students registered for a Ph.D. or degree in accelerator physics or engineering, to offset the cost of the conference registration fee and shared accommodation at the Friendship Hotel Beijing. Supported students will be expected to assist the speakers and delegates during the conference sessions and as well as registration formalities.

In order to be considered for support, students must register for the conference using the Student Registration form and participate in theSpecial Poster Session for Studentson Sunday, 16 September 2018. Students awarded financial support must arrive in Beijing before Sunday, 16 September 2018 at noon, so that they can attend an orientation and training session on Sunday afternoon.

How to Participate and Apply for Financial Support

To be considered for financial support, you must:

• Register as student using the Student Registration, mention in the comment box that you are applying for financial support
• Send an email toLinac18@ihep.ac.cnwith the following attachments
  • Certificate of degree
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Recommendation letter from your supervisor or group leader
  • Abstract including title and a main classification(And you still need to submit the abstract via JACoW before 15 April.)

Please note that all applications and recommendations must be received by Friday, 1 June 2018. Successful applicants will be notified by 15 June 2018.
Your registration will not be complete without full payment. Please apply for the financial support immediately after registration.

Responsibilities of Financial Support Recipients
Students receiving grants must present their work in the special student poster session onSunday, 16 September 2018, submit their contributions for the proceedings byThursday, 13 September 2018, and act as scientific secretaries during at least one conference sessions.

Notification
Successful applicants will be notified by:15 June 2018and are required to respond with a formal confirmation by:30 June 2018.
