Description
The discovery of twelve ultra-high-energy (UHE) gamma-ray sources by LHAASO opened a new window on the Universe above 100 TeV. The subsequent release of the first LHAASO source catalog (1LHAASO) further expanded the known population of UHE gamma-ray emitters. Building on these achievements, we are conducting a systematic search for gamma-ray sources above 100 TeV using LHAASO-KM2A data, with the aim of constructing a dedicated UHE gamma-ray source catalog. This work will provide a systematic characterization of Galactic UHE gamma-ray sources and their spatial and spectral properties, offering new insights into the diverse populations of extreme particle accelerators in our Galaxy and the origin of Galactic cosmic rays.
