TheChina-Japan Joint School for Nuclear Physicswill be held in Lanzhou from August 20 to 29, 2025. The school will host 40 students—20 from Japan and 20 from China.
August 20is theregistration day.
FromAugust 21 to 23, students will visit theInstitute of Modern Physics (IMP)(http://impcas.ac.cn), another nearbyCAS institute, and theGansu Provincial Museum.
During this time, students will also give short presentations—10 minutes plus 2 minutes for Q&A—to share their research progress.
FromAugust 24 to 30(departure on 30th), students will join theNUSYS SchoolatLanzhou University(https://indico.ihep.ac.cn/event/25165/). During NUSYS, they will also have a chance to present their research in aposter session.
This joint school is supported by theCAS PIFI Program and other programs listed in the NUSYS website.
Japanese participantswho aregraduate students, senior undergraduates, or postdocs under 32 years old, affiliated with Japanese universities/institutes, and notholding Chinese nationality, will receivefull support, including travel to Lanzhou and local expenses. (Transportation Expenses:Refers to the international airfare or other transportation costs incurred by foreign young scholars themselves between their country/region of departure (or return) and China's entry (or exit) ports due to their travel to China for training and exchanges, as well as the expenses for taking transportation within Chinese cities or between cities for work purposes.)
All other participantswill receivesupport for local expenses in Lanzhou.
Japanese participants must havetravel insurancefor China. The school willreimburse the cost of the insurance.
