Chinese Physics Cis an international, peer-reviewed, English-language journal focusing on the latest developments and achievements in high energy and nuclear physics. It is sponsored by the Chinese Physical Society, and supported by the Institute of High Energy Physics and the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Internationally, it is published in partnership withIOP Publishing. Since publication of its first issue in 1977, it has been one of China’s leading journals in high energy and nuclear physics, and continues to grow in international impact and recognition. Since 2012, it has been a member of theSCOAP3 Consortium. The 2023 Clarivate Analytics JCR Impact Factor is 3.6.
The journal publishes original research papers, letters and reviews, covering theory and experiments in the fields of particle physics, nuclear physics, particle and nuclear astrophysics, and cosmology.
Papers published in the Letters section, which carries short reports on important recent results, have a publication time of 1 – 2 months. Important breakthroughs are given high priority for publication in this section. Regular papers are usually published within 3 – 4 months of submission, with preprint versions available online in the “Just Accepted” section shortly after acceptance.
The journal board is composed of about fifty distinguished physicists, responsible for overseeing the scientific quality of the journal.
