      Abstract:In present paper, the applications ofN0,the number of atoms of a certain radioactive isotope in a target at a given timet0(usually the end of a bombardment by incident particles) in the measurement of the reaction cross section or the beam intensity or in the activation analysis are discussed and the accuracy ofN0(also the cross section) is analyzed.
