Yields of Charmed and Bottom Mesons in e+e-Annihilations at √s=10-178 GeV

  • Probability P ifor the production of i-quark jets ( i=u,d, s, c and b) in the e +e -annihilation has been studied based on the electroweak unified standard model. Probability P iis a function of energy √ s. The calculated component ratios of Pu: Pd: Ps: Pc: Pb are 4:1:1:4:1 for √ s< 30 GeV, 7:9:9:7:9 for √ s= m z=91.16 GeV and 1:1:1:1:1 for √ s=78 and 117 GeV, respectively. Using P cand P bwe have calculated the yields of charmed and bottom mesons in e +e -annihilations in the range of √ s=10-178 GeV.
