Measurements of Electric Quadrupole Moments of Neutron-Rich Nuclei¹⁴B and¹⁵B

Abstract：
Spin-polarized fragments ¹⁴B and ¹⁵B produced in the intermediate energy projectile fragmentation reaction were implanted in Mg single crystal,and the electric quadrupole moments Φ for ¹⁴B and ¹⁵B were determined by the β-NMR spectroscopy.The results obtained are |Φ( ¹⁴B)|=29.84±0.75mb and |Φ( ¹⁵B)|=38.01±1.08mb,which are compared with shell model calculations.
