Nuclear Structure of Nuclei in Lead Region (II) Non-Unique First-ForbiddenβDecays of Nuclei208Tl,208Pb,and206-208Hg

  • The non-unique first-forbidden βdecays of 208Tl, 208Pb, and 206-208Hg are calculated in terms of the shell model with different interactions and model space. The calculated log f 0 tvalue very sensitively depends on the effective interactions used in diagonalizing the energy matrix. The βdecay modes for 206Hg and 208Hg are also compared.
