Nuclear Effect in p-A Drell-Yan Process with QCD Corrections

  • Taking into account perturbative QCD α sorder approximation, using double Q 2rescaling model, the cross section ratios of Drell Yan process in p-A collision to p-D collision are calculated. Comparing these results with the ratios without QCD corrections, it shows the neclear effect functions R QCD(x A,Q 2) are suppressed by different extent for different nucleus, in different ranges of x A(T). Comparing with the E772 experiment data, R QCD(x A,Q 2) are better fitted than R(x A, Q 2). It is shown that the QCD corrections are interesting in studing the nuclear effect of D-Y process. After taking into account of α sorder corrections, double Q 2-rescaling model is still effective.

Comparing these results with the ratios without QCD corrections, it shows the neclear effect functions RQCD(xA,Q2) are suppressed by different extent for different nucleus, in different ranges of xA(T). Comparing with the E772 experiment data, RQCD(xA,Q2) are better fitted than R(xA, Q2). It is shown that the QCD corrections are interesting in studing the nuclear effect of D-Y process. After taking into account of αsorder corrections, double Q2-rescaling model is still effective.
