      Abstract:The flat top technology is widely used to improve beam quality and raise beam current in many cyclotrons.The fundamental of the flat top technology is described in this article,and the effects of the main parameters of the flat top cavity,such as the frequency,the voltage and the stability,on the longitudinal phase space is discussed too.
