Description
We report the identification of a new ultra-high-energy (UHE) $\gamma$-ray source, designated LHAASO1907+0913, through a detailed analysis of LHAASO survey data. The source is clearly detected by both the WCDA and KM2A detectors with statistical significances of $8.8 \sigma$ and $5.5 \sigma$, respectively. The best-fit source position is determined to be R.A. = $286.85^\circ \pm 0.03^\circ $, Dec. = $9.22 \pm 0.03 ^\circ$. The measured differential flux from 1 to 110 TeV can be approximately described by a log-parabola model: $(2.10 \pm 0.35)\times10^{-16} \left(\frac{E}{20 \,{\rm TeV}}\right)^{-(3.10\pm0.13) - (0.45\pm0.16)\ln\left(\frac{E}{20.0}\right)}$. The parent particle spectrum inferred from the radiative model cannot be naturally explained within a purely hadronic scenario. Combined with the significant energy deficit of PSR J1907+0918, we conclude that the Galactic magnetar SGR 1900+14 is the most plausible counterpart and the likely accelerator responsible for the UHE $\gamma$-ray emission of LHAASO1907+0913.
