Description
The LHCb Upgrade II aims to operate at an instantaneous luminosity nearly an order of magnitude higher than that of Upgrade I, placing significantly greater demands on detector performance and reconstruction capabilities. To meet these challenges, a new electromagnetic calorimeter, known as PicoCal, is being developed with substantial improvements in both hardware and software. The redesigned detector geometry and enhanced capabilities of PicoCal require corresponding developments in the LHCb simulation and reconstruction software. This contribution presents recent progress in PicoCal software development, with a particular focus on detector simulation, digitization, and cluster reconstruction.
