PICMIC is based itself on two new concept s. The first is similar in principle to the one used in the GPS and allows \, with a limited number of electronic channels\, to obtain a precise meas urement of the arrival time of particles crossing the MCP. The second \, conceived to measure the position of these particles\, uses tiny pixels that are interconnected in an original way. The new scheme leads to an ex cellent granularity without suffering from the usual ambiguity encountered in the strip-based readout systems. The new system is operated with a sma ller number of electronic channels with respect to a pixel-based readout o ne.\n\n \n\nBoth the spatial and the time measurement systems were indivi dually tested and validated before to be assembled in a first prototype. T he prototype equipped with an alpha source allowed the validation of the w hole concept. We present in this seminar the PICMIC concept\, the realizat ion of the measurement systems as well as the first results obtained with the prototype. We discuss also the development of a new generation of MCP we call NanoChannel Plate (NCP) which intends to improve the time and spat ial resolution by at least one order of magnitude. Such a new device could be fully exploited thanks to the PICMIC concept.\n\n \n\nAbout the speak er:\n\nImad laktineh is professor at the University of Lyon and senior re searcher at the Institut des deux infinis de Lyon (IP2I). His main activ ities are on detector R&D for the experiments of future high-energy colli ders (HL-LHC\, ILC\, CEPC and FCCee ). He developed the concept of the Sem i-Digital Hadronic Calorimeter SDHCAL and led the construction of the fir st technological prototype of the CALICE collaboration using this concept. He is currently working on including the time information in this concep t (T-SDHCAL) to improve on the Particle Flow Algorithms (PFA) techniques. He also initiated the CMS- iRPC project proposing a new RPC readout con cept. He has recently invented the PICMIC concept that intends to full y exploit both the excellent spatial and time resolutions of the MCP devices. In parallel\, he is developing similar devices with much better performances named NCP for NanoChannel Plates.\n\nPr. Laktineh is very a ctive in the new DRD collaborations with leading roles in DRD1(gaseous det ectors)\, DRD4 (photo-detection) and DRD6 (calorimetry). He is currentl y the scientific adviser of the CNRS-I2P3 for innovative detectors and qua ntum technologies.\n\n----------------------\n\nMeeting ID 会议号: 978 9 7794 878\nMeeting URL 会议链接:https://zoom.us/j/97897794878?pwd=qID 5FoHEwJY28ofH4JDAdf3DuzgiRd.1\nPassword 会议密码: 250604\nhttps://ind ico.ihep.ac.cn/event/26137/ LOCATION:228 Multidisciplinary Building URL:https://indico.ihep.ac.cn/event/26137/ END:VEVENT END:VCALENDAR
