Non-equilibrium processes in strong first-order phase transitions potentially leave observable footprints e.g. in the spe ctrum of gravitational waves (GW). Conformal field theory (CFT) has been r ecognized as a plausible candidate for inducing strong first-order phase t ransitions\, but discussions have been based on a 5D setup without a concr ete 4D model of CFT. In this talk\, we introduce a 4D supersymmetric QCD i n conformal window with a marginally relevant deformation that triggers th e spontaneous breaking of (approximate) scale invariance. By analyzing the finite temperature system\, we show that the phase transition associated with the breaking of conformal invariance is of the strong first-order. We also estimate the amount of GWs from the phase transition to discuss the possibility of detection in future observations.\n\nBiography: Shota Nakag awa is a postdoctoral fellow at Tsung-Dao Lee Institute since 2023.
