        Status on crystal calorimeter R&D

        Focusing on crystal calorimeter R&D, including hardware developments, beamtest data analysis, simulation (+digitisation), reconstruction and PFA studies.

        Digitization for CEPC BGO crystal ECAL

        • Digitization of Scintillation
          • Light yield uniformity among crystals: 1%
          • Response uniformity along crystal bar(40cmBGO): 5%
          • Scintillation photon fluctuation: Poisson
        • Digitization of SiPM
          • Fluctuation from response
          • Fluctuation from saturation correction
        • Digitization of ADC
          • ADC bit: 12
          • Noise(pedestal flucation): 3 ADC
          • Multi-gains: 3 gains, 0~1700MIP
            • High gain(0~2.7MIP): SPE calibration and muon calibrationn
            • Middle gain(2.7~67MIP): cover the enrgy range that most possiblely deposited in crystal
            • Low gain(67~1667MIP): high energy event like 120/180GeV Bhabha
        • Performance of algorithm is reasonable. Need to be checked with data from detector simulation.
