Description
I will discuss two topics in SMEFT at dimension-8: positivity bounds are constraints on Wilson coefficients that one can derive by assuming that the UV completion exists and satisfies some of the most fundamental principles of QFT; The inverse problem asks how and to what extend one can determine the UV completion of an EFT, given the values of Wilson coefficients measured at low energy. I will share some thoughts about their connections from a geometric point of view.
