SUMMARY:

Since his graduation from Zhejiang University, Prof. Wang Shuhong has dedicated himself to the research on physics and technology of particle accelerators. As the project leader of the Beijing Proton Linear Accelerator which is a large facility for scientific and technological research, he had made important contributions to its design and construction. Its completion had greatly pushed the development of high energy accelerators and the related application in China.

He is also very active in the field of international collaborations. He made a successful beam dynamics design of the RFQ accelerator for the HERA project of DESY, Germany. Later on he participated in the commissioning of RFQ and the 50 MeV Proton Linac of DESY.

Currently he is in charge of the Beijing Electron Positron Collider (BEPC), up-grading project, and of the feasibility study of Beijing Tau-charm Factory (BTCF).
